Residential Design
Set on a beautiful lakefront property, this project was about creating a kitchen that matched the lifestyle of our clients—a fun couple (and their rambunctious pup) who love to cook, entertain, and enjoy the view.
The original structure was dated and broken into small, disconnected rooms. We opened everything up to create a cohesive, calm space oriented toward the water. The new layout maximizes sightlines, with island seating that wraps around the back so guests can gather comfortably and stay part of the action.
A dedicated bar became a key feature: by day, it works as a full coffee station; by night, it shifts seamlessly into an entertaining hub. This dual-purpose zone reflects both their daily routine and their love of hosting.
Their style mixes mid-century influences with more traditional touches, so we blended the two to create a modern, soulful space. Functionality mattered just as much—every cabinet interior was thoughtfully organized, including a custom island pull-out for dog food.
In the end, the design feels warm, intentional, and welcoming—just like the couple it was created for.
