This custom home built by Bowers Construction is located in Long Lake Village, a community 10 minutes from the downtown Halifax core. Inspired by the 5000-acre provincial park the community borders, this home was designed with texture, organic materials and a monochromatic palette in mind. With the concept of “Urban Zen” in mind, we set out to achieve a delicate balance of fashion-forward design choices with a calming result.

The hero of this home is the kitchen; a patterned tile uniquely applied to the island marries with rattan lighting, a marble-look backsplash, grey countertops, a brushed brass faucet, and touches of black to create an unexpected “Wow!” moment. These design features are repeated subtly as you walk throughout the home, providing continuity and calmness for the ultimate urban retreat.
