Located in central Halifax, this custom residential property was built by developer clients looking to set roots in their “forever home”. Inspired by their European culture, we developed an aesthetic for the home that was modern with old-world influence. We leaned heavily into natural stone in the kitchen, referencing the timeless materials found for centuries in working kitchens across Europe. The custom range hood clad in Quartzite drove the aesthetic home, and we extracted a palette of complementary earth tones from the stone for the accents to add warmth and offset the modern cabinetry. This palette and respect for materials is repeated throughout the home in the bathrooms, and a mix of classic and modern light fixtures help bridge the style gap and add interest throughout.
